Morrisons offers you the chance to be part of a different kind of retail business. You see, unlike our competitors, we own most of our own supply chain - we're both food makers and shopkeepers;. Summer Opportunities at LIPA (Year 12 NCOP Learners)
Hi I am getting in touch with information about an exciting outreach opportunity offered by LIPA (The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) this summer, which we'd love you to share with any Year 12 NCOP target learners - who are interested in applying to study performing arts or making performance possible courses at university for 2021 entry . Get Set is a three-day summer school which will take place in late July 2020. This is a free summer school and aims to help students: • Develop practical skills in performing arts or making performance possible subjects • Understand how to complete an application to a specialist performing arts institution like LIPA • Self-prepare for audition/interviews at specialist performing arts providers Our Get Set residential summer school – because of our funding criteria – is targeted exclusively towards students from neighbourhoods where participation in higher education is currently low. This is based on assessment of a student’s current postcode against a national index. Students can check their eligibility and express their interest to attend Get Set 2020 at: www.lipa.ac.uk/GetSet . We anticipate that the NCOP target learners that you engage with in your projects would fall within this criteria. I have attached our e-flyer to this email, if you could please share this opportunity with your wider team and any schools, colleges or learners who you think this may be beneficial to it would be greatly appreciated. If you would like any physical flyers also, please let me know and I can organise sending some in the post. Kind Regards Joelle Joelle Vella Schools and Colleges Liaison Officer 0151 330 3010 j.vella@lipa.ac.uk

Spark broadcasts
Spark, who provide schools with free live streamed employer engagement careers events would like you to register for some of their free events/broadcasts. The next live streamed event is with BMW on 12th November at 9.10am focussing on careers in automotive technology. The stream will be hosted by the female racing champion, Rebecca Jackson, a live panel of young people will also discuss automotive careers and answer live questions from students across the country. This is free to all schools who register who will then be able to submit questions to the panel. I would normally include this in the newsletter, but with it only being a week away, I thought you might appreciate some notice.
