Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHWY) and Uni ConnectĀ areĀ setĀ to film a video campaign that willĀ highlight the Unique Selling Points of studying HE in a college-based setting.Ā Ā Ā Ā
The partnership will useĀ a local production company and the film willĀ coverĀ employability and industry links, care leaver support, SEND support, adult learners, facilities, alternative routes.Ā The films and resources will be housed on the existing GHWYĀ website.Ā Ā
TheĀ newly convenedĀ West Yorkshire University Centre and College Alliance (West YUCCA) – which is comprised ofĀ HEPs and POs basedĀ inĀ GHWYĀ FEĀ colleges –Ā isĀ currently poolingĀ existingĀ resourcesĀ for the campaign.Ā Ā Ā
It is hoped thatĀ filmingĀ willĀ startĀ inĀ early July and all will be promoted over the Summer.Ā Ā
YUCCAĀ is a working group of theĀ FE/Colleges NetworkĀ Meetings. TheseĀ allowĀ managers and practitioners acrossĀ our regionāsĀ FE centres/collegesĀ to discuss the everchanging experiences and barriersĀ theyĀ are facing and provide a platform to work towardsĀ possibleĀ solutions.Ā An action from one ofĀ itsĀ meetings was to create a working group to promote HEĀ in an FE setting.Ā Ā Ā Ā
The nameĀ of the group providesĀ scope to collaborate with other Yorkshire Uni Connect partnerships in the future,Ā whichĀ Uni ConnectĀ isĀ keen to do moreĀ ofĀ through Phase 3.Ā
