Opportunity for apprenticeship providers
GHWY delivered an information session about the apprenticeship Levy Transfer Service to members on 21 January 2021.
The service improves access to funding for smaller businesses to support them with apprenticeships. Larger levy paying companies can opt to transfer surplus levy contributions to smaller businesses in a selected region or sector. This is facilitated by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s Levy Transfer Service and local council equivalent services.
Small or medium sized businesses can benefit from fully funded apprenticeships including higher and degree apprenticeships. Regional HE apprenticeship providers are encouraged to explore how this could expand their apprenticeship offer to small and medium sized employers.
