Go Higher West Yorkshire: reducing inequalities in access to, success in and progression from Higher Education.
Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHWY) is pleased to welcome Tahera Mayat at its new Collaborative Outreach Officer.
She has most recently worked as an Education Outreach Fellow at the University of Leeds and is currently completing her PhD study.
She has spent almost a decade in Higher Education in some capacity as a student and/or employee so never really left a university environment!
Outside of work, she is a primary school governor and junior Parkrun volunteer.
She is committed to helping young people realise their potential and raise their confidence whether through education or other activities.
She is currently familiarising herself with the work of GHWY and has attended useful meetings with some colleagues. She looks forward to getting to know stakeholders better and working in such a passionate and welcoming team to achieve shared objectives.Â
