GCSE choices: things to consider

Make sure you:

  • Picks subjects that you enjoy as you are more likely to achieve better grades in these.
  • Make a decision that is right for you, not a decision based on what other people think you should do.
  • Discuss your choices with a parent/carer before committing to them.
  • Speak to your teacher before picking new subjects which you haven’t studied before to ensure you know exactly what is involved.
  • Do not choose to take a subject just because your friends are taking it or because you like the teacher.
