GHWY Evidence and Impact Conference

Event details

The GHWY partnership members, our Uni Connect project and the wider local area are all a rich source of evidence for what works in widening participation (incl. access and student success) and why.  This conference is an opportunity to consolidate, share and reflect on our collective evidence base, enabling us to apply it to collaborative conversations about the value and application of data, theory and insight at a strategic and operational level.

Strategic objectives

  • Consolidate evidence of widening participation pact, good practice, theoretical insight and practical recommendations from across the partnership and wider local area;
  • Provide a platform for local academics, evaluators and practitioners to disseminate their learning with a focus on its application to policy and practice;
  • Develop knowledge and understanding across the partnership of what works in widening participation and why;
  • Facilitate a strategic culture of evidence-based practice in widening participation at all levels within stakeholder institutions;
  • Identify any gaps in current knowledge and consequent opportunities for further research, evaluative activity and collaboration.
