CPD for teachers and support staff

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the term used in education to describe the learning and training activities which professionals engage in to develop and enhance their teaching abilities. Effective CPD is fundamental to sustaining positive learning and continuous improvement of teachers and students.

 

Advancing Access provides a variety of CPD resources, online events and offline conferences for teachers and advisers to help them support students’ progression to leading universities. 

They can deliver free CPD sessions in your school or college. Their information, advice and guidance developed by their partnership with 24 leading universities will help you to support young people making their Key Stage 4, Key Stage 5 and university choices

Train the Trainer is a resource tool. The materials in the pack have been designed to enable teachers, advisers, support staff and others to inform young people about the choices and options they have, covering the routes into and how to apply for Higher Education in all its forms, including higher level and degree apprenticeships.
