Parents and Carers

Your child will have many choices to make about what to study, where to study and what routes are open to them. These choices start as early as Year 8 in some schools when they select their GCSE options, and continue as they consider what post 16 study choices to make and then whether to move onto Higher Education after that. It is a 10 year period of decision making which can have a strong influence on the rest of their lives.

If they decide it is the right thing for them, going into Higher Education is an exciting time. It marks a big life change, not just for your child but also for you. It can at times seem like a complicated and overwhelming decision for your child to make and we want to help you support them.

We are here to give you all the information you need to help your child decide their route and guide them at each stage
