Evaluation for All: Developing Evidence of Widening Participation

Date/Time
Date(s) - 14th Dec
12:15 pm - 4:45 pm

Evaluation for All will draw on a range of expertise and insight to offer practical, achievable solutions for the need to evidence impact of widening participation at higher education providers of all sizes and resource levels.

Hosted as part of GHWY’s Good Practice Programme, it is targeted at staff for whom widening participation falls within their area of responsibility and / or deliver any work across the student lifecycle relevant to Access Agreements / Access and Participation Plans.

The half-day event will feature:

  • Presentation on the OfS Framework for Evaluating Outreach by Joanne Moore (Research Fellow, University of Exeter)
  • Build your evaluation toolkit and an introduction to Realist Evaluation by Liz Hurley (Evaluation Manager, Educational Engagement at University of Leeds) and Dr Anna Woodhouse (Research and Evaluation Manager, GHWY NCOP)
  • Opportunities for collaborative evaluation by Natalie Aldridge (Collaborative Outreach Officer, GHWY)

Delegates will be offered new insights, ideas and approaches that they can take back to their everyday roles, alongside an enhanced understanding of the tool that OFS will use to assess institutions’ evaluation. The session will also provide an opportunity to reflect on collaborative ideas that GHWY can look to take forward, providing a foundation for strands of collaboration in this area to develop from.

The event is free and all places have been allocated to each of our partner HE institutions.  For more details and to book a place, please visit our Eventbrite page.
